(continued) no place for him when the Empire crumbles.
Lance was clearly dirty, but I agree that you can't rewrite history. If you remove all suspected dopers from the 2003 Tour, Haimar Zubeldia (5th) wins it and Carlos Sastre (9th) finishes 2nd. I'm no more comfortable with that in the record book than Lance lol. But I'll be happy if he's no longer allowed to be part of the professional cycling landscape, because as the Darth Vader of doping there's
@Seeds,
Cheating should never be allowed, not in the past nor the future. Thus I can only appreciate that he actually acted in accordance to what we have all known. But instead of these constant scandals, they should just allow it.
You are right about the witch hunt, but he probably should be suspended. But taking away all his results is ridiculous. He will still be one of my hero's.
That's actually quite an amusing thought.
I would love to see contador on a rugby field. He would probably do better as the mascot than a player!!
Think it's a bit ridiculous to take away his wins do many years later... But that's cycling I guess, a lot tougher on doping the any other sport... If contador was a rugby player he wouldn't have had the suspension...
Lets face it back then EPO and blood transfusions were dished out like coca cola and botox..
What was the point in this witch hunt they should concentrate on cleaning the sport up and not looking at the past!!
Long live the king!!
Doped rider, like everyone else, with a cancer history.
Hero? Yes
Amazing? Yes
Great? Undoubtably
A cheat? Probably
But weren't they all?
